Freeing the World from Nicotine Addiction

Posted on 03 January 2011 by admin

Craig Nabat and his sky-rocketing company Freedom Laser Therapy is gearing up to go nationwide.

The man has ambitious plans to free the world from nicotine addiction using quit-smoking laser therapy. Many of Freedom’s clients are quitting with only one session.

Craig Nabat, a former smoker had not smoked a cigarette for 7 years. Then, one stressed out business trip in Hong Kong, he bummed a cigarette off a bar patron to make conversation. Immediately, he was addicted again, and ended up chain smoking the remainder of the trip.

“I am very passionate about this,” states Nabat, who says that getting off cigarettes was the hardest thing he has ever done in his life. “It took me years to quit smoking. Then, in a moment of bad judgment — I was back to smoking a pack and a half a day. I ended up struggling with the smoking addiction for the next year and a half.”

Nabat tried to quit smoking using the patch and gum without success. Then, he learned about a low-level laser therapy treatment being performed in Canada that could assist a smoker in breaking their addiction with one 30-minute session.

The treatment had been used successfully for smoking cessation in Europe and Canada for the past 35 years. “I’m from Detroit and ended up driving to Canada for the laser therapy. I began really hating smoking and knew it was killing me. It was killing me physically and I was feeling bad, but still couldn’t quit. I had the laser therapy and didn’t suffer any physical withdrawals. It was great! Next I got my mom, also a heavy smoker to get treated. “If she could get off smoking, then, I knew anyone could.”

Nabat researched the industry and waited for this laser technology to become legalized in the United States for clinical research trials. His plan: is to rapidly set up quit smoking laser therapy clinics throughout the United States. With an extensive marketing background, he decided to launch his company–Freedom Laser Therapy in Los Angeles — the capitol of revolutionary health & beauty treatments.

Nabat launched his first clinic in Los Angeles, California. “Word spread and people desperate to quit were coming…some of the biggest names in Hollywood were walking through the doors of Freedom Laser Therapy.”

Celebrities have incredible power and influence. And, they have ability to directly and indirectly drive millions of smokers to give up smoking. Statistics quote that as many as 50% of smokers say they started smoking after watching a favorite actor smoke on TV or in a film. Imagine how many teenagers might stay away from cigarettes in the first place, if celebrities no longer portrayed that it was cool.

Nabat moved to Los Angeles driven to help celebrities get off smoking, hoping once they did…they would let other smokers — especially young people, know how easy it is to quit using the laser therapy procedure.

There are 4,700 toxins in every cigarette — 60 cause cancer. Nabat says, “Cigarettes are just a bad product.” Within 5 years, States across the nation will ban smoking inside office buildings and restaurants. Smokers really will not be able to smoke anywhere in public.

According to Nabat, the key to quitting smoking is first break the physical addiction — that takes approximately three days. The laser probes stimulate specific acupuncture points on hands, face, ears and wrists, intended to alleviate nicotine withdrawals. Then the smoker is instructed to detoxify their body with provided vitamins and anti-oxidants, which are taken for the next 10 days.

“Smokers need to see cigarettes for what they are,” states Nabat. “This product was ingeniously marketed to all of us. People smoke because of nicotine, not cigarettes. It’s the only product on the market known to kill mass amounts of people and is still sold. 70% of smokers want to quit, but can’t. They’re addicted.”

Freedom Laser Therapy has two locations: Los Angeles, California and Detroit, Michigan and is opening other treatment sites around the world. Freedom Laser Therapy specializes in nicotine addiction and will ultimately offer drug & alcohol treatments in clinics staffed by healthcare professionals.

The low-laser therapy operates on the principles of acupuncture to help alleviate nicotine withdrawal symptoms. During treatment the client watches a video educating the smoker on their behavioral addiction, vitamins and antioxidants are provided, plus a quit smoking support kit that prefaces they can never take another puff of nicotine again.

Freedom Laser Therapy’s franchise company is set to open soon, it has been 3 years in the making. Nabat says, “My Main Goal is to Let Smokers Who Want to Quit Know That There is Now an Easier Way to Quit Smoking.”

Stop Smoking Through Hypnosis

Posted on 03 January 2011 by admin

Hypnosis with the internationally known and recognized Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist Adam Eason can help people both stop smoking and stay non-smokers.

“Many people have tried everything to stop smoking. They are frustrated because it was too hard or they started again after some time. Or worse, they smoked even more every time they thought about stop smoking and they are sabotaging themselves at every turn,” says Adam Eason. “There is a solution for all those people running from one disappointment to another. The key is inside people’s heads. The subconscious mind holds the power to resolve the deep issues people have with smoking and the way to communicate with the subconscious mind is through hypnosis.”

The University of Iowa says about “Stop Smoking Hypnosis” that it is “the most effective treatment for smoking cessation as compared to other techniques. Researchers Schmidt and Viswesvaran did a meta-analysis, which combines the results of more than 600 studies covering approximately 72,000 people in the United States who underwent different cessation techniques. They found that hypnosis had the highest success rate of quitting”. This was reported in the New Scientist which claimed that “Stop Smoking Hypnosis” was the most effective way to give up.

The American Journal of Clinical Hypnotherapy published a report that showed 94% of patients that had stopped with the help of hypnosis were still not smoking 18 months later.

Hypnosis can help people stop smoking. With the help of certified hypnotherapist, Adam Eason people can learn how to help themselves. Visit www.quitsmokinghypnosis101.com to learn about the available program: “Stop Smoking In 7 Days!”

“Well, I am a non-smoker, so thank you very much. I went from 30 a day and smoking being my only way to “de-stress” at work, to none and I am now able to let the stress roll off. It was easy, I have not wanted one and I had not thought about cigarettes, well, not much. I’ve even been going to the pub and still not smoking,” says Katie MacDonald of Dorset, UK.

Smoking Can Be Unlearned or Extinguished

Smoking Can Be Unlearned or Extinguished

Posted on 03 January 2011 by admin

Due to the overwhelming demand in November for its free, online download of the “Proven Stop Smoking Technique,” Smoke Free Society has announced plans to continue offering it through the end of January to help and encourage smokers to follow through with their New Year’s resolution to quit for good this coming year while saving their life, their loved ones’ health and their hard-earned money.

Millions of smokers are fed up and tired of smoking and commit themselves to stop smoking at the start of each New Year. Unfortunately, the majority either doesn’t follow through or fail to quit properly, relapse and pick up the habit again due to lack of preparation and proper support. Quitting smoking is a process and there is no “silver bullet” that can cure smoking overnight. But the good news is that thousands of smokers give up smoking each day by using modern cessation methods. Smoke Free Society offers plans and services that help smokers quit smoking in just 17 days without the use of any substance or drug. This self-help process is based on its three-step principle of preparation, quitting and support, helping smokers to correctly prepare and successfully quit.

“Although the smoker’s physical dependence on nicotine seems to be widely recognized, the psychological dependence on smoking requires equal attention for effective smoking cessation. Only eliminating the physical need for nicotine may not result in the smoker’s quitting if the psychological dependency is not addressed. People should, however, be reassured that smokers can and do stop smoking. Smoking is a learned behavior and can be unlearned or extinguished. Smoking is often associated with, or linked with daily activities such as having a cup of coffee, finishing a meal, socializing, etc. It is very much possible to break the psychological dependency of smokers by modifying the smoker’s usual behavior pattern thereby breaking the associations that have been reinforced in the past. New associations, more healthy substitutes for smoking, can be developed with the help of modern smoking cessation programs,” said Professor Leonard L. Rosenbaum, Ph.D., Psychology, Greenbelt, Maryland.

Every year, quitting smoking is one of the top New Year’s resolutions in America. Tragically one out of four, or nearly 50 million, Americans still smoke and need help to quit. According to the Office of the U.S. Surgeon General, “Stopping smoking represents the single most important step that smokers can take to enhance the length and quality of their lives.”

An immediate benefit of quitting is saving money. An average smoker spends over $ 1,500 a year on their cigarettes alone, and that doesn’t include all other related costs. A Duke University study puts the true cost of lifetime smoking at $ 40 a pack – money that could be used to provide food, education, healthcare and fun activities for their family.

“The New Year is a great time to help loved ones with their New Year’s resolutions to quit smoking, by providing them with the means to quit for good. Download our free ‘Proven Stop Smoking Technique’ or use our other quit-smoking plans and services to show your loved ones you care and to encourage them to quit smoking,” said Rez Seyedin, founder of Smoke Free Society.

Smoke Free Society is a national, nonprofit organization dedicated to helping smokers quit and educating kids not to start. It is currently offering a free download of its “Proven Stop Smoking Technique” to anyone who wants to quit smoking or help a loved one quit. Its Web site is a portal to an array of information on the adverse effects of smoking. Smoke Free Society offers a variety of quit smoking seminars, plans and programs and its dedicated staff is ready to help you, your employees, friends or loved ones quit smoking before it’s too late. Former Smokers to Help Others Quit

Posted on 03 January 2011 by admin

A new website, OneMillionQuitSmoking.com, has been launched with the goal of adding the names of one million people who have quit smoking. The purpose behind the website is to have one million former smokers provide encouragement and support to those who would like to quit smoking.

The site is the brainstorm of Darren Biddle, a former smoker, who wanted to do something to help others quit smoking. Biddle says, “I wanted to show smokers that if one million people can stop smoking…so can you”.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), 1 in 10 smokers will die from smoking and 1 in 5 will experience a smoking related disease. That translates into 440,000 of the 45 million American smokers dying each year. Statistically speaking, that means that if 1 million people quit smoking 100,000 lives would be saved.

The website founder is confident that he’ll be able to reach the goal of one million names. When asked how long it would take him to get to a million names, he replied, “that depends on how fast we get the word out and on how many people we can get to help us spread the word…so far we have names from five different countries.”

Biddle goes on to say, “the great thing about the One Million Quit Smoking Challenge is that anyone who has ever smoked and quit can add their name…It doesn’t matter if they quit 25 years ago or today…by just adding their name they can make a difference and inspire and support others who want to quit smoking.”

You can follow the progress of the One Million Quit Smoking Challenge at http://www.onemillionquitsmoking.com/.

Quitting Smoking With Electronic Cigarettes: New Study Proves 45% Success Rate

Posted on 03 January 2011 by admin

In the first government controlled official study of the electronic cigarette’s effectiveness as a smoking cessation aid e-cigs show an impressive 45% success rate. The study, conducted in South Africa, consisted of 349 smokers. At the conclusion of the two month study 45% of those participating had successfully quit smoking.

All the doctors that participated in the study agree that electronic cigarettes are a significantly healthier alternative to smoking traditional cigarettes. The study showed that 6% of participating smokers quit within two weeks with an increase to 45% over 8 weeks. Over half of the participants reported increased energy levels and a visual improvement in their appearance.

Overwhelming support from the medical community that participated in the study includes that of Dr Clifford Hulley, who reported that “an e-cigarette is the most effective treatment method on the market for quitting tobacco smoking”. Prof Martin Veller, Head Vascular Surgeon at the University of the Witwatersrand, added “Motivated by my wife’s experience, who smoked traditional cigarettes heavily until the moment she replaced them with Green Smoke electronic cigarettes, I have advised my patients to consider electronic cigarettes as an alternative nicotine source.”

According to Dr Kishore Deva, a Pretoria doctor who quit smoking using electronic cigarettes over a six week period, “around 10 to 15 e-cig puffs are equivalent to the same amount of nicotine delivered by a tobacco cigarette”. He added that the nicotine, present in e-cigarettes, is not responsible for the health risks that tobacco cigarettes hold and that a great resource for potential buyers is the electronic cigarette review site http://e-CigCompare.com.

Earlier this year another study was carried out by Health New Zealand to determine the safety of electronic cigarettes. According to the head of research Dr Murray Laugeson, the test found that electronic cigarettes were not only very safe relative to cigarettes, but that they are also safe in absolute terms on all measurements.

“Using micro-electronics, an electronic cigarette vaporizes, separately for each puff, very small quantities of nicotine dissolved in propylene glycol, two small well-known molecules with excellent safety profiles, into a fine aerosol. Each puff contains one third to one half the nicotine in a tobacco cigarette’s puff. The cartridge liquid is tobacco-free and no combustion occurs.”

How do I stop smoking with no support from friends or family?

Question by : How do I stop smoking with no support from friends or family?
I am almost 7 months pregnant, and I have tried many times to stop smoking. I am attempting once more. I get alot of pressure from my fiancee who also smokes. Also, he seems unwilling to even try to support me through this. My “friends” still light up right in fromt of me, to the fact where I have to leave the room just to not be around the smoke. Isit even possible to quit with all this going on? Any suggestions?
